Answer: Vienna, Austria

The final was played in Vienna, Austria at the Ernst Happel Stadium, which is the largest stadium in the whole country. The stadium hosted 3 group games, 2 quarter-finals, a semi-final, and the final. The stadium also hosted the Champions League final in 1995 where Ajax beat AC Milan 1-0.

Answer: False

All four of them didn't get knocked out in the quarterfinals, but three of them did. Group A was won by Portugal who got knocked out by Germany. Group B was won by Croatia who got knocked out by Turkey. Group C was won by Holland and they were knocked out by Russia. The country who won Group D, Spain, went on to win the tournament by knocking out Italy, Russia, and then Germany.
3. Which team didn't get any points from all 3 games in the group stages?

Answer: Greece

Greece lost all their games and scored just one goal from Angelos Charisteas, and that was in the last group match. Kind of weird for defending champions? Before Euro 2004, they had never won a match in a major tournament. They had qualified twice before Euro 2004.
4. The captain of the Turkish team scored twice in the last 3 minutes in the vital group A match against the Czech Republic. Who was he and did his second goal hit the crossbar before it went in?

Answer: Nihat Kahveci, yes

It was in the 89th minute, great goal. The Czech defenders thought he was offside, but he wasn't, then he blasted it over Petr Cech.

Their home jerseys had blue as the main color, and down the sides there were red and white checker boxes. They were defeated by Turkey in the quarterfinals by a penalty shootout.

Switzerland v Czech Republic 0-1. He came on as a substitute in this game. The Swiss failed to clear the danger properly, and Sverkos came in with a nice volley into the side netting.

Answer: 9

They beat World Champions Italy 3-0, then 4 days later, stomped Euro 2000 winners France 4-1, and then beat Romania 2-0 even though they didn't need a win. If Romania had beaten the Dutch, Romania would have qualified for the knockout stages instead of Italy.
8. During the penalty shootout between Turkey and Croatia, who was the only Croat to score?

Answer: Srna

Srna scored the second penalty kick and the other 3 missed, which gave the semi-final spot to Turkey. There was some speculation to this match because the referee, Roberto Rossetti, ran the match 2 minutes over the intended amount of time. That two extra minutes gave Turkey the time to find an equalizer through Semih Senturk.

The Croatian manager was also going mad because he wanted to make a substitution in the last minute of the intended amount stoppage time and Rossetti waved it away.
9. Which Euro did Spain win before Euro 2008?

Answer: Euro 1964

They won Euro 1964, and definitely deserved to win this one. After getting eliminated in the group stages of Euro 2004 along with Italy, even though they both conceded the least amount of goals.

Answer: Penalty Kick

The 38 year old came on as a substitute in the 69th minute. There was some tugging on shirts, pushing, and everything else going on in that box. However, the referee, Howard Webb, was correct in his decision of a penalty kick.
