1. Which one of these four Alexanders won three Triple Crowns, over 300 career wins, and was a Hall of Fame inductee?

Answer: Pete

Alexander played for 20 seasons, beginning in 1911 with the Phillies, Cubs, and Cardinals. He retired in the sixth spot for career strikeouts with 2198, but had been passed by many since. He won his Triple Crowns in 1915 and 1916 with the Phillies, then 1920 with the Cubs. The hall took him in 1938.
2. Of the three DiMaggio brothers, which one was the oldest?

Answer: Vince

Vince was the first, born in 1912. Joe came along in 1914, then Dom in 1917. The most famous of the brothers was Joe, who spent his entire career with the Yankees. Ironically, brother Dom played his entire career with the rival Red Sox. Vince was mostly a Pittsburgh Pirate.
3. Which Hernandez was the first co-winner of a season MVP, and shared it with Pittsburgh Pirate Willie Stargell?

Answer: Keith

Keith was a St. Louis Cardinal in 1982 when he and Stargell finished tied for the MVP. Hernandez was also runner-up MVP in 1984 to Cub Ryne Sandberg. The first baseman also won 11 Gold Gloves at that position.

Billy and Ernie played together from 1959-1971. Banks retired as a Cub, while Williams was traded to the Athletics for his final two seasons. The hall took Billy in 1987 after hitting 426 home runs.

Answer: Doug

Doug played from 1967-1977. Primarily a third baseman, he never saw a postseason game as either a player or a manager. His best managing season finished only third with the Angels in 1989.

In his first full season with Oakland, Dave went 20-13 in 1987. He then ran off three more 20-win seasons consecutively. In 1989, Stewart was the runner-up for the Cy Young to Bret Saberhagen of the Royals. Dave went 168-129 over 16 seasons.

Answer: Jim

Jim was a 1989 rookie with the Angels. He went 12-12 in his first season. After short stints with the Yankees and White Sox, Abbott signed as a free agent with the National League Milwaukee Brewers. The National League did not have a designated hitter rule. With the Brewers, Jim had 21 at-bats while getting two hits and three RBIs.
9. All these Robinsons are members of the Hall of Fame. Which is the only one to win a Triple Crown?

Answer: Frank

Frank Robinson was traded by the Cincinnati Reds after 10 seasons in 1965 to the Orioles. In 1966 as an Oriole, Frank won the Triple Crown, season MVP, and World Series MVP. He retired in 1976 with 586 home runs.
10. Which Perry was the first pitcher to win a Cy Young award in both the American and National League?

Answer: Gaylord

After 10 seasons, the Giants traded Gaylord to the Indians in 1972. He showed his appreciation by winning the AL Cy Young that season. After Cleveland, Perry played for the Rangers. Texas traded him to the Padres in 1978, then Gaylord did it again. He won the NL Cy Young that season also. He retired with 314 wins.
