Steve Duchesne, Ron Hextall, Kerry Huffman, Mike Ricci, Chris Simon, future considerations, a 1st round pick in the 1993 draft, a 1st round pick in the 1994 draft, and cash were sent to the Quebec Nordiques for Eric Lindros.

2. Wayne Gretzky was traded from Los Angeles to St. Louis in 1996. Which of the following players was not received by Los Angeles?

Answer: Mike Krushelnyski

Los Angeles also received a first round pick in 1997 (Matt Zultek). The trade seemed lopsided in that St. Louis was getting Gretzky, but he only played 18 total games for the Blues. He went on to sign with the New York Rangers the following season.

Ashton was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks. He was then traded to Winnipeg, Colorado (Rockies, not Avalanche), New Jersey, Minnesota, Quebec, Detroit, back to Winnipeg, to Boston, and finally to Calgary. He played 998 games in his NHL career, scoring 20 goals 7 times.
