The ground was originally called Cubs Park but in 1926 it was renamed Wrigley Field for its owner William Wrigley Jr. Wrigley was a major manufacturer of chewing gum whose company brought us such brands as PK and Juicy Fruit. It was acquired by Mars Inc. in 2008.
