1. What was the name of the team that played in Tacoma?

Answer: Stars

Before the 1983-84 season, Denver reactivated and moved to Tacoma where it would stay until the league died in 1992.
2. New York won the first four MISL titles. What were they called?

Answer: Arrows

The New York Arrows were considered the MISL's flagship franchise. However, the team was not as successful off the field as they were on it and, as a result, they went bankrupt and folded after the 1984 season. The New York Cosmos joined the MISL in 1984, but lasted for one season.

The NewYork Express(1985-86) tried to fill the void left by the Cosmos went defunct halfway through the season. The other team was called the New Jersey Rockets.
3. What was the name of the team from San Francisco?

Answer: Fog

Before the 1980-81 season, Detroit Lightning relocated to San Francisco to become the Fog.
4. In what city did the Lazers play?

Answer: Los Angeles

Before the 1982-83 season, Philadelphia Fever moved to Los Angeles to become the Lazers.
5. What was the nickname for Wichita's team?

Answer: Wings

Wichita is headquarters to the Cessna Aircraft Company as well as employers of other aircraft companies, so it only made sense for them to be called 'Wings'. The Wichita Wranglers play professional baseball.
6. This team from St. Louis played indoor soccer from 1978-1988. Who was it?

Answer: Steamers

The Steamers went defunct after the 1988 season and was replaced by the St. Louis Storm in 1989. The Storm lasted until the end of the 1992 season. The St. Louis Ambush played indoor soccer, but for the NPSL.
7. What was the name of the team that played in Pittsburgh?

Answer: Spirit

The Pittburgh Spirit was one of the original MISL teams, but folded after the 1986 season.
8. What was the name of the team that played in Kansas City?

Answer: Comets

Kansas City Scouts played in the NHL from 1974-76. Kansas City Attack played indoor soccer too, but in the NPSL. Kansas City Chiefs play in the NFL, but you already knew that!
9. This MISL team from Philadelphia played from 1978-82. What were they called?

Answer: Fever

The Philadelphia Fury played in the NASL from 1978-80 when it moved to Montreal the following year.
10. Who were known as the Hellion?

Answer: Hartford

Hartford entered the league as an expansion team in 1979, but relocated to Memphis after the 1981-82 season.
11. Who were known as the Horizons?

Answer: Chicago

Chicago Horizons played for only one season (1980-81). The Chicago Sting of the NASL played in the MISL from 1982-83, 84-88.
12. What was the name of the team that played in Denver?

Answer: Avalanche

There was a team called the Denver Gold, but they played in the USFL.
Denver entered the league as an expansion team in 1980, but only played two seasons before it suspended operations for a year. It then relocated to Tacoma in time for the 1983-84 season.
13. The Cleveland Force folded after the 1988 season. In 1989, Cleveland got an new team and called it this _________ ?

14. What was the name of the team that played in Las Vegas?

Answer: Americans

When the team relocated from Memphis in 1984, it still retained the nickname 'Americans'. However, I like my choices better!
15. Buffalo played in the MISL from 1979-84. What were they called?

Answer: Stallions

Buffalo Blizzard played in the NPSL from 1992-2001. Buffalo Braves used to play in the NBA before they relocated to San Diego. Buffalo Bandits play in the National Lacrosse League, and were very successful during the 1990s.
