Holmes ran all over the Cincinnati Bengals in a 20-13 Ravens win. In 1998, Byner had retired, Morris was playing for the Chicago Bears, and Lewis was still in college at the University of Tennessee.

Offensive tackle Ogden was drafted by the team with the 4th overall pick in 1996, the Ravens first year in the league. Ray Lewis was also taken in the first round that year(26th overall). Jermaine Lewis was drafted that year in the 5th round. Jamal Lewis was the team's first round pick in 1999.
