1. Nearing the end of his career, Steve Carlton was a Cleveland Indian, and had already won 300 games in his career. In July 1987, the Indians traded Steve to which team that he would retire with?

Answer: Minnesota Twins

Carlton played from 1965-1988. In his final season as a Twin, he appeared in only four games with a 0-1 record. Steve won four Cy Young awards with the Phillies, and also threw a Triple Crown. His career record was 329-244.
2. In which season did the Pittsburgh Pirates make their first World Series appearance?

Answer: 1903

The Pirates and the Boston Americans dueled in the very first World Series in 1903. The Pirates jumped on Boston by winning games one, three, and game four to take a three games to one lead. After a game five loss of 11-2 to Boston, the Pirates never got a second breath, and lost the series five games to three.
3. Who was nicknamed "Steady Eddie"?

Answer: Eddie Murray

Collins was nicknamed "Cocky", Delahanty was "Big Ed", and Plank was "Gettysburg Eddie". Murray played for 21 seasons and retired in 1997 as a Dodger. He played most of his career with the Orioles, including his 1977 Rookie of the Year award. Eddie is a member of the 3000 hit and 500 Home Run Clubs.

Jose played from 1985-2001. After winning the Rookie of the Year award in 1986, he won the MVP for his efforts of the 40-40 Club in the 1988 season. In his last two seasons, he played for three teams and was treated like the plague for his steroid accusations and usage.

Answer: Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay celebrated the franchise's 10th season by going a dismal 66-96 under Joe Maddon, for a last place finish in the AL East. The franchise began in 1998, and had lost at least 90 games in every season of their first 10, including reaching the 100-loss three times.
