1. In the 1994-95 season, when John Lyall quit as Ipswich Town manager, George Burley replaced him, but from which club did Burley move?

Answer: Colchester United

Burley made the huge step up from third tier Colchester to Premier League Ipswich but was unable to save them from relegation. During his playing career, he made almost 400 appearances for Ipswich.
2. Who was Southampton's first manager in the Premier League?

Answer: Ian Branfoot

Branfoot was Southampton's manager from the inception of the Premier League in 1992 until 1994 when he was replaced by Ball, who in turn was replaced by Merrington. Gray was manager for just seven months in 2001.
3. Who was the first Swiss manager in the Premier League?

Answer: Christian Gross

Gross lasted just nine months at Tottenham in 1997-98, winning only 10 of 30 games. Geiger won 112 caps for Switzerland and has managed a variety of teams but wasn't the first Swiss manager in the Premier League. Kuhn was a skillful midfielder in his playing days and has managed FC Zurich as well as the Swiss national side. Storace is the vocalist for Swiss rock band Krokus.
4. Which club did Stuart Pearce manage from 2005 to 2007?

Answer: Manchester City

A Nottingham Forest legend, Pearce ended his days as a player with Manchester City and became a coach for them. When manager Kevin Keegan left the club, Pearce was given the role, originally as caretaker then as permanent manager. He was sacked at the end of the 2006-07 after a particularly poor campaign.
5. With which club was Pepe Mel manager before taking over at West Bromwich Albion in 2014?

Answer: Real Betis

Mel had taken Betis to the Europa League qualification in 2013, but won only three out of 17 games the following season when manager of WBA.

Graham was Arsenal manager 1986-95, before being sacked by the club and banned by the FA for a year for accepting illegal payments relating to transfer deals. He became Leeds manager in 1996 and left after two years to manage Tottenham, from where he was sacked in 2001 for alleged breach of contract.

He started his managerial career at Millwall, but has not managed at Chelsea, Luton or Accrington.

Answer: Joe Kinnear

Kinnear was manager of Wimbledon from 1992 to 1999. Other managers from the Republic of Ireland include David O'Leary, manager of Leeds United (1998-2002) and Aston Villa (2003-06), Owen Coyle, manager of Burnley in the Premier League between 2009-10 and Bolton Wanderers (2010-12). Chris Hughton served as caretaker manager for Tottenham in 1998 and Newcastle in 2008 before going on to manage Newcastle, Norwich and Brighton.

Answer: Roy Hodgson

Hodgson was so highly thought of in Finland, he was awarded the Knight, First Class, of the Order of the Lion of Finland medal. In the Premier League he has managed clubs including Blackburn Rovers, Fulham, Liverpool, West Bromich Albion and Crystal Palace as well as managing in Denmark, Norway and Italy.
10. Who was the first Premier League manager to have a Premier League champions medal from his playing days?

Answer: Bryan Robson

Robson captained Manchester United when they won the first ever Premier League season in 1992-93 and in 1994 was unveiled as player-manager of Division One side Middlesborough, who won promotion to the Premier League in that season. O'Neill never played in the Premier League, Strachan had left Manchester United for Leeds United before the Premier League started and Bruce didn't become a Premier League manager until the 2002-03 season, having won promotion with Birmingham City.
