Answer: Great Britain

The British won back-to-back tournaments against the same opponent, Denmark, in 1908 and 1912.

Belgium played Czechoslovakia for the gold, but around the 39th minute the central Europeans quit the game, arguing that the referee was calling the game unfairly. So Belgium won the gold, Czechoslovakia got nothing instead.

Uruguay won gold in the 1924 and the 1928 Olympiads, and then went on to win the first ever World Cup in 1930. Italy won the 1934 WC, then in Berlin, 1936, they won the gold medal, and finally, in 1938 Italy they repeated their WC success.
