I can't wait to get this one onto my trophy shelf. It's made from silver covered in gold, and weighs around 7.25 kilograms (16 pounds). The basketball part of the trophy is actually pretty close to the size of a real ball.

I think maybe I better lift some weights, as I'll need to be pretty strong to lift the trophy over my head.

If I had won this trophy before 1970, I'd have had one made from gold and trimmed with lapis lazuli, depicting Nike! (Of course, Nike is the Greek goddess of victory). Now when I get this trophy, it'll be Earth being held up by two human figures. It will still be gold of course, but with a malachite base. I have a place reserved for this one...now to work on my soccer/football/round ball skills!

I'm excited to be playing against some of the world's best teams. Until Italy joined the competition in 2000, it was - you guessed it - the Five Nations Trophy that was contested.

Hmmm, I'll need to find a large place to display the 'Auld Mug' as it's affectionately known; it's huge! It's made of sterling silver, and looks more like a jug than a mug to me. And she's old! The first time this annual event was won was 1851.

The New York Yacht Club held it from 1857 until 1983 when it was won by the yacht Australia II, from Royal Perth Yacht Club, and John Bertrand was the skipper! I heard that that's the longest winning streak in the history of sport, and I'm inclined to believe that!

I thought they had it wrong for a second - weren't there three musketeers? Then I discovered that the trophy was inaugurated in 1927 and honoured four Frenchman who had won a Davis Cup victory! It was soon after the movie success of the 1925 adaption of The Three Musketeers novel by French writer, Alexandre Dumas.

The name was adopted for the cup, and obviously, it stuck and became official. The four champions who won the Davis Cup victory and subsequently honoured by the trophy were Jean Borotra, Jacques Brugnon, Henri Cochet and Rene Lacoste.

Given for finishing all the stages in the fastest combined time, I'd like to add this garment, presented since 1919 to the leader of le Tour de France, to my collection of trophies. Actually, there's evidence that a yellow jersey was given the to the race leader to wear before that time, but officially, it was introduced in 1919.

It has had a bit of an on-and-off history (no pun intended!) with the presentation of the jersey abandoned the very next year (at first) but then given to the leader after the ninth stage. At various times the 'maillot jaune' has had zips inserted at the front, at the back, had the rider's initials on the front and on the sleeve, been one-size-fits-all and made in a limited number of sizes. I don't care if it fits me or not, so long as I get to wear it!

Of course, being a Mebournian, I'd really like to win the Melbourne Cup, presented to the winner of the race of the same name each November. Such is the dedication of Victorians to the race, we're given a public holiday to celebrate! And celebrate we do. Thousands flock to the Flemington Race Track for a day of fun and frivolity.

There are contests for the best-dressed lady, best-dressed gent, the best hat - oh, and we manage to remember to see the horse races, too. The Melbourne Cup is known as the 'race that stops a nation' as all around Australia, people watch or listen to see which horse will win!

What's not to love? This will look great on my trophy shelf. I think it'll look a lot better than the original prize, a leather belt with a silver buckle, with which the winner was presented in the mid 1800s. After Scotsman 'Young' Tom Morris won the belt for the third consecutive time he became the permanent owner of it and discussions began to find a new trophy. The Claret Jug, as it is traditionally known, was forged by Mackay Cunningham & Company of Edinburgh and was first presented in 1873.
