The discus is one of the oldest events. It has been popular since the ancient Greek games. The discus is a plate shaped rubber disc 219-221mm in diameter, maximum thickness 44-46mm, minimum weight for men 2kg, and for women 1kg.

Answer: Yes

There are penalties for knocking a hurdle down if it is seen to be done deliberately by the hand. The rear leg or foot may not trail alongside the hurdle, but must be drawn over the top. Other than those reasons a hurdler can knock the hurdle without being disqualified.

The first three darts would need to hit the treble 20 each time thats 60x 3 = 180. Then the next three darts would have to be also hitting the treble 20 on each occasion. 60 x 3 = 180 + 60 x 3 = 180 (total 360). This would leave you requiring 141. Now the tricky part there are a number of ways to score 141 with the three darts but the most common way would be treble 17 followed by a treble 18 followed by double 19. 17 x 3 = 51 + 18 x 3 = 54 leaving double 19 = 38 total 141. It is very rare and when it's achieved, the world of darts soon knows about it.
25. Fencing has been ever present in the modern Olympic movement. The area upon which fencing is played is called the strip. By what other name is it known?

Answer: Piste

The area is known as Strip or piste and is 14m long and 2m wide. Fencers stand 2m apart over the on-guard line at the centre of the piste.
