The first ten in the history of the Olympics was scored on the uneven bar during the compulsory round of the 1976 Olympics. It was scored by Nadia Comanichi. The scoreboard read 1.0 because, no one believed a 10 was possible. Therefore, the scoreboard was not created with room for the extra digit required for a ten.

Answer: Holly Vise/Chelsie Memmel

Courtney Kupets won in 2002. Katie Heenan won a bronze in 2001.

Amazingly, Nadia through a skill in 1976 that was still an e in 2003. An e skill adds .2 bonus points to a routine. The Comanichi front is a front straddle release thrown by pushing of the bar with the hips.
