1. Name the only baseball player to have played in all four divisions (prior to having 6 divisions total) in the same season?

Answer: Dave Kingman

Dave Kingman aka "Kong" Played for the Padres, Angels, Yanks and Mets in same year. Apparently, hitting homers with a terrible batting average of .236 was in high demand in 1977.
2. What National League batter hit .401 in 1930?

Answer: Bill Terry

Bil Terry won the batting title for the Giants in 1930. This was his career high season average.
3. What player hit 20 doubles, 20 home runs, and 20 triples in the same season?

Answer: George Brett

In 1979 for the Royals, George Brett went for 42 doubles, 23 homers and 20 triples.
4. Who was the first player to win the MVP and Rookie of the Year in the same season ?

Answer: Fred Lynn

Fred Lynn accomplished the feat in 1975 for the Red Sox. .331, 21 HRs and 105 RBIs earned him the rare double award. Ichiro joined him in 2001 by winning both awards as well.
5. What player hit 792 doubles in his career?

Answer: Tris Speaker

Tris Speaker collected 792 double-baggers. Pete Rose hit 746 in his career.
6. Ted Williams won the triple crown twice, 1942 and 1947. Which of the following other players won two triple crowns?

Answer: Rogers Hornsby

The "Rajah " as he was known, pumped out the crown in 1922 and 1925 .
7. What player hit over .350 in a season (and won the batting title that year) but never hit .300 in any other season in his career?

Answer: Norm Cash

Norm Cash hit .361, 41 dingers and 132 RBIs. A MVP season if it were not for a guy named Maris in 1961. He never batted higher than .286 in any other season.
8. What win total did Juan Marichal put up in 1968 and wind up not winning the Cy Young that year?

Answer: 26

Juan Marichal of the SF Giants had 26 wins in 1968, but lost out to Bob Gison with a 22-9 record and 1.12 ERA.
9. What player hit the first grand slam in the All-Star Game?

Answer: Fred Lynn

Fred Lynn put the nail in the coffin of Atlee Hammaker in the 1983 game with the first grand salami hit in the mid-summer classic.
10. Which of the following players had 705 at-bats in a season?

Answer: Willie Wilson

Wille batted 705 times in 1980, but is remembered for striking out to end the Series that year to the Phillies.
