Ricky Ponting top scored with 114 off 109 balls, with four sixes and eight fours. Adam Gilchrist was run out for 99 off 88 balls (a bad call by his captain, Ponting). He hit two sixes and 14 fours. Damien Martyn scored 52 and Matthew Hayden 22.
