Answer: Ken Anderson

Troy Aikman's and Ken Anderson's career statistics are very similar, as both were very high in completion percentage and they had almost exactly the same amount of yards passing. Anderson did however, have more TD passes: 197-165. Surprisingly, 1992 was the only season in which Aikman had more than 20 TD passes. Aikman spent his entire career with the Dallas Cowboys and Anderson spent his with the Cincinnati Bengals. Bob Avellini, who played all of his games for the Bears, threw 33 TD passes and Sam Adkins threw 2 TD passes in 39 attempts for the Seahawks.
2. Which of these quarterbacks was the only one to throw more touchdown passes than interceptions, during his career?

Answer: Bubby Brister

Playing mainly as a backup for 5 different teams from 1986-1995, and 1997-2000, Brister threw 81 TD passes and 78 interceptions. Playing with the AFL's Houston Oilers, George Blanda set a record with 36 TD passes in 1961, then followed that with a record 42 interceptions thrown in 1962.

Answer: Brett Favre

Favre would have to be run over by a truck to keep him from starting a game. This man has had numerous injuries, but never sits a game out. Favre's father died on December 21, 2003. The next day, on Monday Night Football, Favre led his Packers to a 41-7 win over the Oakland Raiders in his 205th consecutive start.

He passed for 399 yards (the second highest total of his career at the time) and 4 TDs. He had 311 yards passing and all 4 TDs in the first half. There is very little doubt that Brett Favre will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.

The only quarterbacks whose last name starts with "I" to play in the 20th century were George Izo, Kevin Ingram and Cecil Isbell. Ingram attempted two passes, completing one for a touchdown as a replacement player for the New Orleans Saints in the strike season of 1987. Isbell played for the Green Bay Packers from 1940-1942, leading the league in passing yardage and TD passes in 1941 and 1942.

Namath is considered by many to be one of greatest quarterbacks in history. Though he was very charismatic and a great team leader, his sheer numbers aren't very impressive. He barely completed 50% of his passes, and threw 47 more interceptions than touchdowns (173-220).
