The Redcliffe Dolphins protested the choice of name, and the Gold Coast venture agreed to find a new name to avoid legal action.

Gold Coast finished 4th, then went on to beat the NZ Warriors in the Qualifying Final 28-16 to put them one game away from a Grand Final berth. However, they were beaten by the Roosters in the Preliminary Final, 32-6.

Answer: Eels

On the other hand, the Titans have struggled to beat the Dragons, winning only 3 of the first 8 matches head to head. The biggest win of their debut season was against the Eels (38-12).

Scott Prince was the second player (after Dale Shearer) to play for all three Queensland NRL teams (Brisbane, North Queensland and the Gold Coast).

Their first was 18-0 vs. Melbourne Storm in 2008. They repeated this feat four years later in 2012 vs. North Queensland Cowboys, with the same 18-0 scoreline.
