Williams managed the Red Sox from 1967 to 1969, and he ended up with 1575 victories during his Hall of Fame career. Billy Herman and Pete Runnels managed the Bosox during the 1966 season and Pesky was Boston's manager from 1963 to 1964. Pesky also managed the Red Sox for a short period in 1980.
