Answer: Stanley Ketchel

Ketchel who was shot dead in 1910 by a jealous husband while he was still middleweight champion, was given that nickname.
2. Thomas "Hitman" Hearns lost in his initial bid to win the middleweight title when he was stopped in three rounds by Marvin Hagler in one of the greatest fights of all time. Hearns won the belt in his second attempt. Who did he defeat?

Answer: Juan Domingo Rodan

In Las Vegas on 29 October 1987, Hearns stopped Argentina's power punching Juan Domingo Rodan in four exciting rounds to win the vacant WBC middleweight championship that Leonard vacated after his victory over Hagler.

Upon completing a European tour in which the sugarman had five fights in 30 days, Robinson on 10 July 1951, was upset by the stocky Turpin losing a 15 round decision in London. Robinson would defeat Turpin to regain the crown 62 days later by a 10th round KO.

Graziano subsequently was allowed to box everywhere else and won the middleweight championship in his very next bout, which by the way, was in Chicago.

He was later reinstated by the NYSAC.
10. Marvin Hagler won the world middleweight championship in 1980. Who did he defeat to win the title?

Answer: Alan Minter

Hagler chopped up the brave Englishman in three gory rounds to win the belt on 27 September 1980.
