Answer: New Orleans

The Jazz played 5 seasons in New Orleans (1974-79), before moving to Utah at the start of the 1979-80 season.
2. Whose nickname is the Mailman that used to play for the Jazz?

Answer: Karl Malone

Karl Malone played 18 seasons in Utah (1985-03), making it to the playoffs all 18 seasons, and making it to the NBA Finals twice, in the 1996-97 season, and then again in the 1997-98 season. He lost both times to the Bulls. He went to Los Angeles in 2003-04 in search of a ring with Gary Payton and the Lakers, but came up just short in the Finals to the Detroit Pistons.
3. How many career assists did John Stockton have when he retired in 2003?

Answer: 15,086

John Stockton retired at the end of the 2002-03, as the all-time leader in assists and steals.
4. How many teams had Jeff Hornacek played on before retiring in 2000?

Answer: Three

Jeff Hornacek was drafted by the Phoenix Suns and played six seasons there (1986-92). In 1992, he was traded to the Philiadelphia 76ers and played two seasons there (1991-93). In 1993, he was traded one last time to the Utah Jazz, and he played his final seven seasons with the Jazz.

Answer: Ron Boone

Boone originally came from the ABA in 1976 with the merger. He later became a sportscaster for the Jazz.
