Answer: United States,Belgium,United States,Belgium.

Once again, the Williams' sisters, Justine Henin-Hardenne and Kim Clijsters ruled the courts. Interestingly in 2003, it was the same order when Serena Williams won the Australian Open, Henin-Hardenne the French Open, Serena Williams Wimbledon, and Henin-Hardenne at the US Open.
2. In 2005, which two players made two grand slam finals each, but both lost in the final?

Answer: Mary Pierce and Lindsay Davenport

Lindsay Davenport made the finals of the Australian Open and a three hour thriller at Wimbledon, losing 9/7 in the third set after having a match point. Mary Pierce was the surprise double grand slam finalist in 2005, losing to both Belgians. Elena Dementieva was a twice runner up in 2004 to Anastasia Myskina and Svetlana Kuznetsova.
