1. What is the required mount in this routine?

Answer: Kip

In USAG level 4, for a start value of 10, you can mount with a kip, or for a start value of 9 you can mount with a pullover.
2. The second skill in the routine is a cast-freehip circle?

Answer: False

In USAG level 6, you start with kip cast freehip circle to another kip. In level 5 it is just kip front hip circle.
3. The required cast after your second skill, must be at least how high in degrees?

Answer: 90

It must be at lease horizontal (90 degrees).
4. To get to the high bar, you have to do a cast-squat on?

Answer: True

A cast squat on, is when you push away from the bar in a cast, and bring your feet up, until you are standing in a tuck on the bar. Then you stand up, take a good look at the high bar, and jump and catch it!
5. What circling skill is done on the high bar?

Answer: Back Hip Circle

In USAG routines, it is not required that you do a free hip circle on the high bar. A cast away long hang pullover is done in level 6, and giants are required by the time you get to level 8.
6. How many tap swings are in the routine?

Answer: 2

A tap swing is where you are just hanging from your hands, and swing up to at least horizonal, while your body passes from hollow to arch, and back to a hollow again.
7. The dismount, for the level 5 compulsory routine on bars is a flyaway?

Answer: False

A flyaway is a flip off the bar. Most of the time people do a back flip from a tuck, to a double twisting layout, or even harder. It is not in a routine until level 6.
8. The start-value for this routine is 10.0?

Answer: True

The start value for all compulsory routines are 10.0.
9. To graduate from level 5 to a level 6, a gymnast must have an All Around score of what (by NYS USAG Competition rules)?

Answer: 31.0

A 31.0 must be achieved in any USAG sanctioned competition. A gymnast is not allowed to skip any of the competitive levels.
