Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the vault skill that you do in levels 5 and 6 in USAG sanctioned events?

Answer: handspring

This will get you a start value of a 10.0. It used to also be the vault for level 4.
2. It is required to start a certain distance from the vault.

Answer: False

It is not required to start from a certain distance in any level of gymnastics, though it is recommended.
3. The required vault for Levels 5 and 6 used to be required for Level 4, if you wanted a start value of 10.0.

Answer: true

In level four, you used to be able to do a squat-through and start at a 9.0, or do a handspring and start at a 10.0, but now level 4 does a flat-back.
4. Which of these is a good thing to do in the Level 5 and 6 required vault?

Answer: block through your shoulders

Blocking through your shoulders pushes you off the vault. Blocking just means when you push through your shoulders, but don't bend your arms.
5. Where is the vault in the Olympic order of events (female)?

Answer: first

Vault is first, then bars, then beam, and finally, floor.
The vault is last in the men's event.
