1. What was the name of the stadium that Middlesbrough played in prior to moving to the Riverside Stadium?

Answer: Ayresome Park

Middlesbrough had played at Ayresome Park since 1903, they moved to the Riverside Stadium after the 1994/95 season. The move was forced by the Taylor Report into the Hillsborough Stadium disaster which recommended that for safety reasons football stadiums in the higher tiers of English football should be all seater stadiums, this would have required major modification of Ayresome Park and so it was decided that it was better to move to a new, purpose built stadium.
2. Who was the manager of Middlesbrough when they won the League Cup in the 2003/04 season?

Answer: Steve McClaren

Steve McClaren was manager of Middlesbrough from 2001 - 2006 when he left the club in order to take up the position of manager of the England national side. Middlesbrough beat Bolton Wanderers 2-1 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff to win the League Cup which was the first major trophy Middlesbrough had won in their history.

Answer: Norwich City

Middlesbrough had a good season in 2014/15 finishing 4th in the table. This saw them enter the play offs for promotion to the Premier League. In the semi-finals the Boro beat Burnley 5-1 across the two matches to secure their spot in the final while Norwich City beat their local rivals Ipswich Town to get their place in the final.

The final took place at Wembley Stadium in London with Norwich City getting promoted by winning 2-0.
10. True or False: The Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson is the son of the Chairman Steve Gibson?

Answer: False

Ben Gibson is actually Steve Gibson's nephew. Ben Gibson made his first team debut for Middlesbrough in 2011 when he came on as a substitute in a match against Coventry, however, he did not start to play regularly for the Boro until the 2013-14 season when he played 31 times for the club.
