In 1974 it was the Daytona 450, because of the fuel crisis. Bill France asked all the track owners to cut the length of their races by 10 percent in the early part of the season.

The three women drivers were Janet Guthrie, Christine Beckers and Lella Lombardi. The previous time this had happened was back in 1949.
3. Geoff Bodine added a unique twist to the 1981 Daytona 500 by doing this?

Answer: By crashing into a car that wasn't entered in the race

On lap 48, Bodine spun towards the infield and slammed into a parked station wagon belonging to a television crew there to film the race.
