Newcastle United finished 8th position in the First Division in the 1954-55 season. This may not appear that fantastic, however, they started the season poorly and were only 15th position after they had played half of that seasons league matches. For various reasons, including their FA Cup success, Newcastle had to play their final eleven matches in only twenty nine days. That is a match every 2.63 days! And they still won the Cup!
