Answer: Hockey

Turek won a World Championship in 1996 as the Czech Republic's goaltender. He went to the Stanley Cup finals in 2004 with the Calgary Flames, though at this point in his career he had been relegated to the role of backup goalie.
2. In what professional sport did Willie Shoemaker compete for almost 41 years?

Answer: Horse racing

Shoemaker had an amazing 8,833 career victories as a jockey; he held the record for most career racing victories from 1960 until 1999.
3. In 1980, David "Deacon" Jones was elected to the Hall of Fame for excelling in which professional sport?

Answer: Football

Jones, nicknamed the "Secretary of Defense," is considered to be one of the greatest defensive ends in the history of the NFL. The term "quarterback sack" was popularized because of his play and coining of the term, and became an official NFL statistical category in 1982.
