The great Willie McCovey did not hit a home run in his first game at all, although he did go 4 for 4 with a couple of triples against the Phillies' great and Hall of Famer, Robin Roberts.

Answer: Ozzie Smith

Ozzie Smith never had a game where he hit three triples. Ernie Banks did it for the Cubs in 1966. Shawn Dunston also did it as a member of the Cubs in 1990. Joe DiMaggio did it for the Yankees in 1938.

Answer: Hank Aaron

Lou Gehrig had an eight RBI on May 22, 1932, but never drove in more than 10 in his 17 year career. Reggie Jackson had 10 RBI's in 1969, Fred Lynn had 10 in 1975, and Bottomley had an amazing 12 in 1924.
9. Which player never stole second, third, and home, in one game?

Answer: Vince Coleman

Although Vince Coleman was a great base stealer, he never stole all three eligible bases in one game. Coleman had 752 career stolen bases. Molitor stole all three bases in 1987, Baker did it in 1984, and Robinson did it in 1954.
10. Which pitcher did not throw over 60 career shutouts?

Answer: Phil Niekro

Phil Niekro only threw 45 shutouts in his 24 year career with the Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, and Toronto Blue Jays. His best year for shutouts was 1974 with the Braves when he threw six. Walter Johnson leads this list of shutouts with 110. Warren Spahn had 63, and Tom Seaver had 61.
