Davidson, in addition to the WFL, was also involved in the founding of the ABA and WHA (American Basketball Association and World Hockey League). He would resign as WFL president after the 1974 season and was replaced by Christopher Hemmeter.
2. WFL games were televised by TVS, a syndicated network. Who handled the play-by-play for the TVS network on WFL games?

Answer: Merle Harmon

Harmon, the 1949 Heisman trophy winner from Michigan, handled play-by-play while Alex Hawkins handled the color.
