Answer: David Eckstein

Eckstein went 8 for 22 with 4 RBIs in the World Series after struggling through the postseason. He stole the show in Game 4, going 4 for 5 with three doubles.

The MVP of this series was Jeff Suppan, the Cardinals pitcher. In Game 3 of the NLCS, he not only pitched 8 scoreless innings, but also hit the second home run of his career.
