Answer: Boston Patriots

They were coached by Lou Saban in his first head coaching job in 1960. The team went only 5-9 and were shutout twice in the season. The franchise joined the NFL in 1970 under the same name, then the New England Patriots name came in 1971.
2. Only one of these was a Patriot, and was the first Patriot to rush for 1000 yards in a season. Who was it?

Answer: Jim Nance

Nance was a Patriot from 1965-1971. He rushed for 1000 yards twice. In 1965, he ran for 1458, then another 1216 yards in 1967. Jim also played for the Jets, but those two prior would be his only 1000-yard seasons. Nance was a two-time Pro Bowler.

Parilli was brought up under the arm of Packer QB Bart Starr. Parilli's career high was in 1964, when he threw for 3465 yards with 31 TDs and 27 INTs. Known as a QB not afraid to run, he ran the ball 34 times for 168 yards and two touchdowns with the Patriots.

He was inducted into the hall in 1991. Michael Haynes was the second Patriot inducted, and linebacker Nick Buoniconti was the third.

The Patriots won the AFC Wildcard game 26-14 against the New York Jets. Then they won the AFC Divisional playoff 27-20 against the Los Angeles Raiders. Next in line were the Miami Dolphins in the AFC Championship game. The Patriots won 31-14. All these games were on the road for the Patriots.

Unfortunately, the met the Jim McMahon led Chicago Bears, who went 15-1 in the season, and trounced New England 46-10 in Super Bowl XX.

Answer: Drew Bledsoe

The others were Patriots, but never threw for 10,000 yards in a Patriot uniform. Bledsoe played for the Patriots from 1993-2001, before leaving for Buffalo in 2002, then Dallas in 2005. Drew made it to the Pro Bowl three times with New England. The threw for over 4000 yards in a season three times in his career, and twice being with the Patriots in 1994 and 1996.

His third 4000-yard season was with the Bills in 2002.

Answer: Bill Belichick

Belichick took the reins of the club in 2000 from Pete Carroll. Carroll's record in New England was only 27-21 in three seasons. Parcells had the team for three seasons also, from 1994-1996 going 32-32. Berry head coached the team for six seasons from 1984-1989 with a 48-39 record. Belichick began the 2007 season with 75 wins already against 37 losses.
9. The Patriots won three Super Bowls in XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX, and all from the 2001-2004 seasons. What was the largest winning margin that the Patriots won by in these Super Bowls?

Answer: 3 points

All three Super Bowls were won by only three points. Their victims were the Rams 20-17, the Panthers 32-29, and the Eagles 24-21.

Stanley caught 534 passes for New England along with 67 touchdown passes. His career high was 1491 yards in 1986, with a 17.8 yards per catch average.
