At the very end of "The Trial," Darla tells Angel that she can accept the fate that awaited her when she was human 400 years earlier. Suddenly Wolfram and Hart have their guys march in, separate Angel and Darla, and Drusilla unexpectedly enters the room. She sires her "Grandmum."

She is furious with Dru to begin with, even throwing her into the street to get run over.
