Answer: cleaning her rain gutters

Rory suggested that she go to the hospital, but Lorelai was opposed to that idea. She said that when you go into one, you never come back out. Lorelai goes on to make believe it is serious, claiming gangrene has already set in.

2. Are Lorelai and Rory happy to see Cesar, instead of Luke, cooking at the diner?

Answer: No

The commiserated with each other on how bad Cesar's pancakes are. When Lorelai found Luke in his one room apartment above the diner, she found him lost in a huge mess. Luke's sister had sent the rest of Jess' belongings and there was no organized way to store it all in that tiny space. This prompted Lorelai to send Luke out house hunting.

Jess had collected the bracelet two weeks prior when it came off during their picnic in "A-Tisket, A-Tasket".

One of those would be the frustration caused to Taylor when he was not able to buy the place for his plate business. In the end of this episode, Luke punches a hole into the new space with a sledgehammer. Then he hands it to Jess to finish tearing the wall down for his new room.
