Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Rory and Lorelai are tasting wedding cakes as the episode opens. Whose family had been making cakes for the last 112 years?

Answer: Fran

When she told the ladies this news, Lorelai joked that Fran did not look a day over a 106 years old. Fran did not get the joke and made it clear that her family had been in business 112 years, not Fran herself.
2. Though Lorelai had not been detailed about her romantic life, Rory claimed she had done all but which of the following?

Answer: tap-danced

Rory: "No, but you have alluded, insinuated, tip-toed to the brink of impropriety." Lorelai then comments on how Chilton has taught Rory some big words.
3. Which movie did Rory and Dean agree to re-watch in lieu of watching a new movie?

Answer: The Holy Grail

"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" came out in 1975, both before Rory and Alexis Bledel were born. Rory, being sixteen in 2001, was born in 1985. Alexis was born in my hometown of Houston, Texas in 1981. Jared Padalecki (Dean) was born almost a year later in July of 1982.
4. Max, Lorelai and Rory all watch a _____ movie together.

Answer: Billy Jack

As most fans of the show know, Rory and Lorelai have a running commentary during all of their movies. They make fun of the movies and add their own dialogue, but do not generally allow anyone else to do so. Billy Jack is a character created by Tom Laughlin in 1967. I believe it was 1967's "The Born Losers" they were watching, since I have seen 1971's "Billy Jack" and it did not appear to be that one. Two more movies came after, "The Trial of Billy Jack" in 1974 and "Billy Jack Goes to Washington" in 1977. Tom announced in the early 1990s that he planned to run for the American presidency at some point in the future.
5. Max was a little delayed for breakfast at Luke's because he had to collect all but which newspaper?

Answer: USA Today

When he did arrive, Max also had to take time to read over Luke's menu. Rory and Lorelai had already said yes to Luke's offer of blueberry pancakes, but decided to wait for Max to order. Shortly thereafter Luke brings over a lunch menu for Max, sarcastically stating breakfast would be over in an hour.
6. How was Taylor able to side step Luke in the notification process and schedule a city project right outside the diner?

Answer: it was a matter of 'dire public safety'

Taylor scheduled the installation of Stars Hollow's first traffic light and metered crosswalk. Luke was very irate and demanded to know how Taylor did it without notifying him. The town charter claims that all major projects must be cleared with the local business owners, but Taylor found a loophole.

In cases of "dire public safety" being an issue, Taylor could override the need to notify the businesses. Of course, there was no REAL dire safety issue, as there had not been an accident in town for over 10 years.
7. What flavor is Max's favorite ice cream?

Answer: chocolate chip

After their double dinner date, Dean was schooling Max on some Gilmore girls fun facts. He told Max to never use the last of the parmesan cheese, always humor Lorelai, never start deep discussions late at night, and despite what he said Lorelai would bring him his favorite ice cream.

The girls had skipped off from the men in order to get some cones, despite the fact that they'd all eaten plenty at dinner. Max was surprised by the amount the two women could eat. He was also surprised when Dean accurately predicted Lorelai would bring him more food (the ice cream) despite expressing he was already full.
8. Who invited Emily to Lorelai's bachelorette party at the drag bar?

Answer: Michel

The party was at a bar where the waiters were all in drag. It was a Mae West attired waiter that served Sookie, Rory, Lorelai, Michel, Miss Patty and Emily. Rory had a Shirley Temple (no alcohol), Sookie a martini and Lorelai a Long Island ice tea. Michel not only decided to tag along to a women's party, but invited Emily for the fun of it.
9. When Lorelai called Christopher, what did she say her name was?

Answer: Trixie

She claimed to be "Trixie from the other night". She told Chris she was at her own bachelorette party and they discussed Max. Chris later called Rory to say he was worried about Lorelai.
10. Max came to the inn to remind Lorelai to make him a set of keys to her house. What item had he wanted to drop off there, but could not get inside the house to leave it?

Answer: printer

Lorelai apologized to him for not making a set of keys for him to use, but Max became angry and called her self involved. It was not long after this that she realized she did not really want to get married to Max.
