The episode began with Tony and Carmela talking to Tony, Jr. about his schooling. While they spoke to him about school, Carmela was reading something, in the paper, and that was when she brought up how reading that newspaper was a requirement for Tony, Jr.'s social studies class. Carmela told Tony that their son was not reading the newspaper since she found a whole bunch of them piled up in his room. Tony asked his son if he was passing social studies and his son responded that he was doing fine in the subject.
2. Which of Debbie's relatives called her at the beginning of the episode?

Debbie was an FBI agent and was investigating issues surrounding Tony Soprano's mob organization. In her first scene, in this episode, she was styling her hair and the phone rang. Her husband, also an FBI agent, picked up the phone. He told the person on the other line that Debbie was busy and she would have to call back.

When he got off the phone, he informed Debbie that her mom had just called.
