As they walked out, an employee of the store demanded to see what was inside her backpack so Kate showed him the lunch box.

He told her that he knew she was Diane Austen's daughter so he was going to call the police and then her mother to tell her what Kate had done.

As the store employee was set to call Kate's mother and then the police, a gentleman in the store said he would pay for Kate to have the lunch box. The employee agreed to that but he told Kate she was not to be back in the store unless she was with a parent. The gentleman gave the lunch box to Kate and told her to not steal ever again.

Kate and Sawyer were seen on the submarine that was being used to evacuate them from the island and she said how they needed to get out of it. Juliet was also there and she asked Kate where Jack was so Kate informed her that Jack was on his way to blow up the hydrogen bomb. Kate said they needed to get out and stop Jack.

Jack, Sayid and Richard were by the bomb and Sayid was looking through Daniel's journal which had information on the bomb. Jack asked Sayid if there was anything in the journal about how to move the ten ton bomb so Sayid corrected him and said it weighed twenty tons. Sayid mentioned that the journal only informed them on how to remove the plutonium core and detonate it.

There was one scene down by the beach near the beginning of this episode in which Locke and Richard spoke and Richard mentioned how Ben told him that he strangled Locke. Locke told Richard that he remembered that day very well. Richard then said Ben mentioned to him how he was sure Locke was dead since he saw his coffin being loaded onto the plane. Richard wanted to know how Locke was alive since he had been on the island for years and seen impressive events but never did he see the island bring someone back to life.

Midway through the episode, there was a flashback scene in which two coffins were being carried into a hearse outside a church since a funeral had ended. A young boy was seen making some drawings in his notebook and a young gentleman approached him. He told the young boy he was sorry about his father and mother's deaths and then called him "James." He then handed James a note and it began with "Dear Mr. Sawyer", informing us that the young boy was Sawyer.

Sawyer, Juliet and Kate were discussing Jack setting off the hydrogen bomb so Sawyer mentioned that it was possible his setting it off could reset everything, meaning Oceanic Flight 815 would have never crashed. Kate told him there was a big chance that Jack could kill everyone on the island. Juliet listened to both of them talk as a man came to give all three of them sedatives. Juliet then attacked the man and knocked him out.

She took the man's keys to unlock their handcuffs as well as his gun and informed both Sawyer and Kate that they were going back to the island.
