Peter told Sydney she was fired but Sydney reminded him that she could not be fired or else she would make sure the sexual harassment lawsuit, against Peter, would make its way to court.

Kimberly mentioned, to Michael, she would be going before the medical board to determine if she should lose her medical license. At the meeting, the board discussed of a complaint they heard about Kimberly's misconduct when she was acting director at a mental hospital.

Jane was upset when she learned that Jake and Allison were having a secretive affair so she went to confront Allison about it. Allison and Jake made it out, alive, but the apartment burned to the ground.

He, then, suffered a heart attack but he survived.

The next day, after Kimberly temporarily lost her license to practice medicine, Michael was going off to work and he was shocked to find Kimberly dressed like she was going to work. Kimberly mentioned, to him, that Peter had just hired her to be the new office manager at Burns-Mancini since Sydney was fired. Kimberly said the job was temporary and that she was excited to see Michael at more hours of the day.
