In the previous episode, Kimberly got a call, from her doctor, and he told her he wanted to do an MRI on her and Kimberly agreed to get one done. Kimberly had complained about getting frequent headaches and wanted to know the source of them. In this episode, the MRI revealed she had a brain tumor. Kimberly died near the end of season five due to the brain tumor.

Taylor finally came clean, to Peter, about who she was and why she was interested in tracking him down in Los Angeles. She told him that her real name was Victoria Taylor Davis and she was the sister of Elizabeth Davis, Peter's ex-wife. Taylor said she was not shocked that Peter did not recognize her since it had been years, since he had seen her, and she changed a lot.

Once the opening credits rolled, we saw Michael wake up and Megan was in his bed. The previous night, Michael decided to not hold back, on making love to Megan, and committed adultery by making love to her while married to Kimberly. Michael told Megan, when she woke up, that he gave an excuse to Kimberly on how he had to work at the hospital just to get away from her and be with Megan.

Right after Kimberly got the news about her tumor, she saw Michael, in the hallway, and told him she had to run an errand for Peter. Matt saw Michael and introduced him to his counselor from rehab, Dr. Hathaway. Matt wanted to inform Michael that Dr. Hathaway was the reason why he did so well on his exams from medical school.

In Amanda's first scene, at D&D Advertising, Craig entered her office and told her that he got them both two tickets to Portland for Amanda's business trip. Amanda said the only reason she would want to go to Portland, with Craig, was to see him be hung out to dry.

She let Craig know she was disgusted with him and his immaturity and that she knew he wanted to get her into bed. She informed him that the only one who could charm her, romantically, was Peter. She ripped up his plane ticket and made it clear she would not fly to Portland with him.

Midway through the episode, Craig went to Samantha's apartment and knocked on the door. She opened the door and he asked her if she could tell him where Billy's apartment was since they worked together and they needed to do some work together. Samantha told Craig that Billy lived in apartment three and he thanked Samantha and introduced himself to her. Samantha told Craig her name and he invited her out on a date and she accepted.

In the middle of the episode, Jake went to see Jane, at her boutique store, and he grabbed her aside to talk to her. Jane told him there was nothing to talk about but Jake told her he wanted to talk to her about the problems they were having, especially with the restraining order. Jake told Jane to meet him at a restaurant at 8 p.m. the following night. Jane did not give Jake a definitive answer on if she would meet him or not.

In the first scene, at Kyle's restaurant, Kyle was seen, cooking in the kitchen, and Sydney was right by his side and said how she liked his cooking. Kyle thanked her and said she had a nice shirt on and they continued to have a nice conversation. While they spoke, Kyle asked Sydney if she could get him another painting, for the restaurant, and she told him she would get him one.

Taylor went over, to Peter's apartment, and made him some dinner so she wanted to share it with him. She also brought over a photo album that had photos of Peter and his deceased ex-wife, Elizabeth Davis. Peter's phone rang and Amanda was on the other line and she missed him while she was in Portland. Peter and Amanda started to talk and Peter said the pizza guy was there to deliver him a pizza (it was Taylor that rang the doorbell). Peter hung up and was upset with how he lied to Amanda. Taylor apologized for causing problems for Peter that night.

Michael followed Megan to find out more about who she was and he tracked her down at an unfamiliar location. He heard Megan screaming for help so he knocked down the door and saw a man beating her. Michael got the man, off of Megan, and took her to safety out of the house. This was when Megan admitted, to Michael, that she was a prostitute and used to being abused.
