Yusuke Urameshi is the main character in "Yu Yu Hakusho." He was hit by a car in the first episode, but then was allowed to come back to life if he would be the spirit detective of Earth, employed by Koenma, the ruler of Spirit World, who looks like a toddler. Later on in the series, he is killed by Sensui, but comes back to life as a demon from the power of his ancestor, Raizen.

Answer: Motoko

Motoko is one of the girls staying in the girls' dorm, whose landlord is Keitaro Urashima in "Love Hina." She has a mission, and that is to defeat her sister, Tsuroko. A couple times in the series, she is worried that she is in love with Keitaro, but convinces herself over and over again that it is not true, fearing that love would interfere with her training.

Answer: Tohru

Tohru Honda is the main character in "Fruits Basket." She stumbles upon the Sohma house, a family who is cursed by the vengeful spirits of the chinese zodiac. Whenever they are hugged from someone of the opposite sex, they change into their respective animal. Torhu is a very kind and passionate girl, however she can be very forgetful and clumsy at times, but everyone loves her.

She has two very good friends who have been with her since her mother died (Arisa and Hanajima) and Kyo (the cat in the zodiac) begins to fall in love with her.

Answer: Kenshin

Kenshin Himura, the main character in "Rurouni Kenshin" is attempting to escape from the horrible past he once led. He was known as the Battousai, the greatest assassin and killer. He has now become a wandering swordsman, and people are constantly after either his life, or the wish to hire him for his great skills.

Answer: Hotohori

Hotohori is one of the Suzaku Seven, seven warriors destined to protect the Priestess of Suzaku, the one who will summon the beast god of her country; In this case, Suzaku. Ever since the beginning, Hotohori has been in love with the Priestess, but she is in love with Tamahome, a fellow protector and friend.

While Miaka is back in her own world, Hotohori is killed by Nakago, an enemy of the Suzaku Seven.

Answer: Mutsumi

Mutsumi is a character from "Love Hina" that Keitaro and Naru met on one of their escapades. She faints quite often and her spirit floats around for a bit. She is obsessed with watermelons and often has piles by her feet. She is very forgetful, but somehow manages to get into Tokyo University with both Keitaro and Naru.

Answer: Tomite

In the "Fushigi Yugi" anime series, Miaka must travel to find the Shinzaho, an ancient relic worn by the priestess of Genbu. To protect the Shinazaho, two of the Genbu warriors were sent back from the dead to protect it: Tomite and Hikitsu. Wielding the power of ice, they tested Miaka to make sure that she really is the Priestess of Suzaku, because they didn't want it to fall into the wrong hands. Once Miaka passed their test, she was allowed to go forward and retrieve the Shinzaho.

In "Yu Yu Hakusho," Team Urameshi (Yusuke's team), fights Team Masho in the Dark Tournament. One of the members of Team Masho is Jin, the wind master. He gets Yusuke to laugh with him and claims that he must be in a good mood to fight well. Team Masho is also known as The Ninjas, and if they win the Dark Tournament, their prize is to get anything they want. For them, it would be Hanging Neck Island, the island that the tournament is fought on. Unfortunately for them, the Urameshi Team wins the tournament, but Jin and Yusuke stay good friends.

Answer: Akito

In "Fruits Basket," Akito is the leader of the family with the curse of the vengeful zodiac spirits. He considers himself God, because just like the real God ordered the animals in the zodiac around, he does the same with his family. Yuki, the rat of the zodiac, is trying to get and stay away from Akito. Only bad memories return when he is with him.

In the story, Akito claims that the rat will return to him eventually.

Answer: Hiei

Hiei, from "Yu Yu Hakusho" is my favorite anime character. He is extremely short, but extremely powerful. Against his mother's will, he was tossed off a cliff as a baby, but was rescued by bandits. As he grew, he learned the art of swordsmanship, and soon travelled to the human world, where he met up with Kurama, a demon in human form. With Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Genkai, they participated in the Dark Tournament, where they stared death straight in the eye several times.

After the Dark Tournament, the team went on to fight Sensui and then to participate in the Demon World Tournament.
