Mean old Mr. Fuller was first mentioned in the 1987 flashback. The boys lost a ball over in his yard and Shawn sent Gus after it. When Gus was unable to get back over the fence, Shawn abandoned him. Shawn later found out that Gus' parents felt he was a bad influence on their son.

When Shawn and his dad went caroling with Gus and his parents, they found the old man hanging from his second floor railing. It looked like a suicide, but Shawn quickly nixed that idea from the clues he found at the scene.

Shawn's gift was a snow globe based on the detective agency. It had the word "PSYCH" inside it, with two little men along side it. Lassie said he hated snow globes, only to turn around and find at least a dozen on his desk. Shawn gave McNab a Daisy Red Rider BB rifle, which he said he'd always wanted. Shawn admitted to Gus he'd overheard it during McNab's evaluation. I think he said the air vents connected, and he somehow heard the information.

Shawn already knew what the gift was, so he wrote a note stating it and wrapped it for his dad. It was yellow golf balls tagged with his company logo. He, of course, gave his dad a snow globe. It contained a likeness of his father holding a fishing pole.

Fuller spent time gazing out of his window with binoculars. He took pictures of offensive acts and blackmailed the people who'd done them. He even blackmailed Gus' parents for many years.

Though Tyler Perry has been known to play both women and folks older than himself (Madea), he didn't appear on "Psych". Ernie Hudson played William "Bill" Guster and Phylicia Rashad was his wife. Ernie has been in many films and TV shows, including "Ghostbusters", "OZ", "Clover", "Miss Congeniality", "ER" and "Desperate Housewives".

He also lent his voice to the XBox game version of "Ghostbusters". Phylicia may be best know as the wife of Bill Cosby in both "The Cosby Show" and "Cosby".

At first glance, Bill Guster looked good for the crime of murdering Mr. Fuller. Traces of weed killer was found in the man's dinner, and it matched the type on Bill's property. Add that to the footprints that matched Bill and a rope from his boat, and he looked guilty.

As he was being taken away, he exclaimed that he was a church deacon and couldn't be arrested. He was later released when Mrs. Guster looked guilty.

After he'd spent an evening doing "crafts" with them, he decided they needed something more fun to do. So, he brought a Wii (which he stated aloud) he'd confiscated on a bust. He said it was technically the property of the DA's office. The original XBox and Wii are both predominately white in color, so it helped me that he stated which console it was.

Apparently the boys had a yard service in their youths, but like most things from that time, they had been irresponsible with it. She stated that they owed her a yard service, since they'd already been paid the $5 for it. The men started to do the work, but were quickly side tracked by movement in old man Fuller's house.

After Rose left, the men searched Fuller's home. They found a rocking chair (Gus played Norman Bates with it) and a secret cubby hole. In the cubby (under floorboards) they discovered binoculars, a camera with a long lens, and a manila folder full of photographs. The photos showed illegal acts, some criminal and some moral, which Fuller had used to blackmail his neighbors.

Sure enough, Mr. Mitchell's wife was the lady in one of Fuller's photos. She had an affair with a man 30 years prior, and Fuller had caught them in the act. She'd been paying him off (who hadn't) for years, but when he became senile she was too worried to trust his silence. She used his stair chair to lift him into a hanging position, and hoped the police would buy it as a suicide. Shawn busted her at the estate auction.

Throughout the episode, there were reminders to watch out for new episodes in 2008 and for animated shorts of Gus and Shawn as children in those episodes. In the psychout moment at the end, Gus' parents admitted to the murder and they told Shawn if he revealed this they would kill again. The screen then went out, and laughter ensued.
