Colm Feore, who plays Linoge, has small roles as the preacher and the reporter that star in the dreams of the townspeople. The reporter is explaining that after the storm of the century the entire remaining population of Little Tall (those who did not evacuate to the mainland) have mysteriously vanished.

In their dreams, some of the main characters see the entire town committing a mass suicide by walking themselves into the ocean during the tempest. When they wake up, constable Mike Anderson says he believes Linoge can make this happen if they do not give him what he wants.

The problem is that he still has not told them what he wants.

Billy Soames is the father of her baby. Linoge reveals publicly that Cat went into Derry to have an abortion. Cat later explains to Billy that she did this because she knew he was not reliable, as he was having an affair with another women during his romance with Cat.

Linoge has her fill a bathroom sink with water and stick her head in it. But, first he has her use lipstick to write on the bathroom mirrors "Give me what I want, and I'll go away."

After tormenting Robbie with the vision of his deceased mother, Linoge escapes from the cell. The previously shut doors into the store blow open, and Hatch is drawn into the backroom hypnotically by a blue light emanating from the cane. He stops infront of Linoge, who looks up from a hooded robe and shows Hatch is true ancient face. He fills Hatch with the urgency of his message "Give me what I want and I'll go away."
When Mike gets inside the building and sees Hatch, he has Hatch explain that they must give Linoge what he wants. Otherwise he will never leave them in peace.

Linoge has them all dreaming of the aftermath of the storm, and they see what their fate will be if they do not give him what he asks for. The Virginia colony of Roanoke did mysteriously disappear in 1587 and did leave only one clue, as the movie shows, the word Croaton or Croatoan carved in a tree. Of course, Andre Linoge was not really the cause.

Historians claim a massive drought caused the deaths/disappearance of all the citizens.

Angie just reappears and tells a story of flying high in the sky over Little Tall. Linoge had her and George by the hand and he drops George into the sea to die. He allows Angie to come back to warn the others to remember their dreams and Roanoke. They found Jane frozen in the snow, also with a piece of paper with the famous phrase written on it.

When Molly finally found her son, he explained that the contents of the bag was to be shared. That they were not just for Ralphie, but everyone on the island. The bag contained weirding stones; seven white and one black.

But, before Jesus cast the demons out he asked their names. And, the thing inside said our name is Legion, for we are many."

Pippa Hatcher was the last child down, and she had to slap her mother in the face to get by her. Linoge was flying the children all high in the sky while they slept. He had the power to drop and kill them any time he wanted.

He tells Mike and Hatch the their Reverend has a couple of nieces, ages 9 and 11, that he likes "a lot, an awful lot and they run and hide when they see his car pull in". Ms. Stanhope was holding big table candles lit in each hand, and Linoge threatened to have her burn her face off if they did not listen to what he had to say.

Then he moved onto Jack, Lucien and Alex. Robbie was last, and once he again he appeared to Robbie as his dead mother.

This left Robbie sunken and quiet on the floor. Linoge told everyone that Robbie would recover just fine, but it was nice to seem him cower for a change. Robbie began the movie as a bully. Robbie beals rebuilt the fish house and hired Kirk Freeman. In 1996 Sandra, Robbie's wife, went out for a row. They found her boat with the word Croaton written on it, but they never found her.

Mike sees Ralphie and Linoge on the streets of San Francisco. When Mike calls to Ralphie, his son turns to face him and shows him the demon that is now inside. That is the moment Mike realizes what a price he paid during the storm of the century. He thought about telling Molly, but he never does.
