Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Paulie got promoted in season two, what rank did he get promoted to?

Answer: A Captain (aka a capo)

Paulie was promoted in season two. In season four while Paulie was in jail for a short time, Christopher was made "acting captain" over Paulie's crew. There has been several references to Paulie being a captain.
2. In season three, after meeting Meadow's boyfriend Noah, what food icon did Tony see before he passed out?

Answer: Uncle Ben

Tony passed out when he saw the box of rice in the kitchen. He later learned that his spells are actually associated with different kinds of meat.
3. What famous Italian song is played throughout the episode where Tony, Christopher, and Paulie go to Italy?

Answer: Con te partiṛ

This is a great song by Andrea Bocelli. This was already one of the best Sopranos episodes ever, this song made the episode even more memorable.
4. Who were the original captains of the Soprano family in season one when Jackie Aprile died?

Answer: Tony, Raymond, Jimmy, Junior, and Larry

Tony Soprano, Raymond Curto (The old guy with glasses who was a rat in later seasons), Jimmy Altieri (Fat guy who was also a rat)(Silvio and Christopher whacked him at the end of season one), of course Uncle Junior, and Larry Boy Barese ( went to jail, later had some minor appearances.) When Jackie died they all decided to make it look like Junior had the top spot, when actually Tony had the real power.
5. What movie did Christopher think wasn't a true story?

Answer: Thirteen Days

In the Pine Barrens episode Paulie was telling Christopher about the Cuban missile crisis. Christopher thought is was all made up.
6. What does it mean when someone is from "the other side?"

Answer: They are from Italy

Furio, Feech La Manna, the guys brought in from Italy to do hits, and other Italians from Italy were all said to be "from the other side."
7. After being shot and rendered comatose, what song was playing when Carmela was talking to Tony?

Answer: American Girl

All of these songs were in a "Sopranos" episode, however, Tom Petty's "American Girl" was playing while Carmela was talking to him.
8. Which of these answer choices is not completely accurate in describing the Soprano family business dealings?

Answer: Garbage, bookmaking, and point shaving

This one was a little tricky. Yes, the Sopranos were involved in garbage and bookmaking; they were not involved in point shaving. Point shaving is when an athlete is corrupted by the mob to underachieve so that the team doesn't meet the point spread. There was a reference where Carmine Sr. did this but he was not a Soprano.
9. Who was not involved in the actual Feech La Manna robbery?

Answer: Ralphie

In season three, Ralphie told Jackie Jr about how Tony and Jackie Sr took down Feech's card game. Ralphie couldn't go because he had the clap.
10. Who considered The Sopranos as just a "glorified crew" rather than an official family?

Answer: Carmine Lupertazzi Sr.

Carmine Sr. mentioned this in season four When plotting against the Sopranos, Phil Leotardo also mentioned that Carmine Sr. felt that way.
