The new Baroness wants to have dinner with them on what would have been the Baron's birthday because they were the last to see him. Lafiel is responsible for the Baron's death, which makes Jinto nervous about the dinner. The new Baroness Febdash is Lafiel's battle commander and makes it clear that she desires no revenge for the death of Klowal.

However, she is annoyed about having to rule her new, desolate barony.

The Bebaus family is known for producing brilliant minds as well as insane ones, sometimes in the same person. Two major characters from this family are Nereis and Nefee, identical twins. Abh are generally opposed to engineering children with the same genes, so doing this is considered part of the spectacular insanity.

Two players, connected with an elastic cord around one wrist, launch themselves at each other, trying to knock the lance out of the other's hand. Lafiel thinks of this game while in battle; she never lost at jousting, so she doesn't want to lose the battle.

Answer: Take a bath

He feels sticky and decides to have a bath. He also thinks that being in a bathtub is a suitable place to die. This happens right after his brother says he'd hoped to see some spectacular insanity. When he returns to the bridge afterward, Nereis's only complaint is that the water kept splashing his face.

He must not mind it much, as he's shown having another battle bath at the beginning of the next series, "Banner of the Stars II".

Answer: Saddened

Jinto says in an earlier episode that no one would mourn him or be upset when he dies. Right before the ship blows up, Lafiel tells him otherwise, but the episode ends before we hear her response. We return to the scene at the very end of episode 13 and find out what she says. While the two have been friends since the beginning of "Crest of the Stars", this is the first we hear of her deeper feelings for him.

The new ship has the same name as the old one. Lafiel puts up another banner of the bee, the first Basroil's symbol, on the bridge before launching the ship. Lashkau is Spoor's ship, which she has painted red.

Lafiel and Jinto oversee the surrender of the Aptic system to the Abh Empire. It's only at this point that Nereis and Nefee realize that they had an Abriel princess and a Count under their command. They really need to pay more attention to their personnel lists.
