Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When Buffy wakes up from her reverie about Parker, what class is she in?

Answer: Psychology

Professor Walsh has chosen this class to talk about the pleasure principle. She explains it as 'These are the things we want. Simple things. Comfort, sex, shelter, food. We always want them and we want them all the time. The Id doesn't learn, it doesn't grow up.

It has the Ego telling it what it can't have and it has the Superego telling it what it should want. But the Id works solely out of the pleasure principle. It wants. Whatever social skills you've learned, however much we've evolved, the pleasure principal is at work in all of us. So, how does this conflict with the Ego manifest itself in the psyche? What do we do when we can't have what we want?' Then Buffy goes back into her reverie of saving Parker, and this time he is holding a tub of ice cream and flowers.
2. What job does Xander get in this episode?

Answer: Bartender

Xander wishes to be a bigger part of the college life, and not just have the stigma of being a townie.
3. Who is the first person Buffy walks into (literally) at the bar?

Answer: Riley

Buffy, 'Oooh. Riley, I'm so sorry.' Riley, 'That's okay you know, but most people go around. I'm not saying you can't go through me, It's just that the other is much quicker.'
4. By what type of bites does Willow believe Parker should be tortured?

Answer: spider

Willow comes in after the night of Buffy's first drinking fest to find her watching TV and acting strangely. Buffy mentions Parker, and beer, and Willow goes, 'Drowning your troubles over Parker. Mind frying man! He deserves a slow and torturous death by spider bites. Well, for today we'll just have to throw spitballs at his neck in class.'
5. What is the name of the beer that makes the students go caveman?

Answer: Black Frost

Jack the bartender had gotten sick of the college kids, so when Xander finds out about the tainted beer, he says, 'You know I've been taking abuse from snot nosed kids for twenty years. They're always coming in here with their snotty attitude, drinking their fruity little micro brews and spouting out some philosophy, like it means a damn thing. Thinking they're different than us.' Then Xander makes the very point, 'They are now!'
6. What is the name of the older bartender?

Answer: Jack

Xander mentions this right after the first guy turns caveman-like after he comes out of the bathroom. The other guys all leave, and Xander says, 'Jack! Jack! We've got a problem. The guys they they're some of the patrons are turning into cavemen!'
7. Who does Parker flirt with in this episode?

Answer: Willow

Willow goes to talk to him about how he hurt Buffy, and he starts to tell her how nice it is to just talk. Willow, though, doesn't fall for it and she says, 'Just how gullible do you think I am? I mean with your gentle eyes and your shy smile and your ability to talk openly even to me! You're unbelievable!' Parker, 'What?' Willow, 'This isn't sharing.

This isn't connecting. It's the pleasure principle. That's right, I got your number Id boy. The only thing you're thinking about is how long you can jump on my bones' Parker, 'Look, if you think that I'm -' Willow, 'I mean, you men.

It's all about the sex! You find a woman, drag her to your den, do whatever's necessary just as long as you get the sex. I tell you men haven't changed since the dawn of time.' Then the cavemen come, and that just proves her point.
8. When Xander asked what was the lesson they learned that night about beer, what did Buffy say in response?

Answer: Foamy

Xander, 'And was there a lesson in all this huh? What did we learn
about beer?' Buffy, 'Foamy.' Xander, 'Good, just as long as that's clear. Anyways I think that the boys in the car are contained for the time being. This will give them some time to ponder the geo-political ramifications of BEING MEAN TO ME!'
9. The bartender who bewitched the beer had a relative who was a warlock. Who was this warlock in relation to the bartender?

Answer: brother-in-law

Jack mentions this when he is telling his brilliant plan to Xander.
10. Who does Buffy hit over the head at the end of the episode?

Answer: Parker

This is a great part of the episode, because nobody does anything to help him. This is Buffy's way of getting over him. I hope you enjoyed this quiz!
