Back in 1991 and 1992 a much skinnier James Pickens Jr. played Brandon's boss for 11 episodes. He also made numerous guest appearances on "Roseanne" in 1990 and 1996, and "Something So Right" in 1996.

"Charlie Lawrence" aired for only a number of episodes in 2003. Lane starred as the title character, a gay former actor turned Congressman starting a new life in Washington D.C. Knight played Graydon Cord, Charlie's neighbor.
