Tony Curtis (Danny Wilde) a rough diamond from the slums of New York and Roger Moore (Lord Brett Sinclair) the polished British aristocrat teamed together for one season in "The Persuaders" (1971 with 24 episodes). Danny had become a millionaire in the oil business and Lord Brett was an ex-racing car driver and former British Army officer. Together they travel the world as playboys helping the wrong to put things right.

The series centred around Gary Strang (Martin Clunes) and his flatmate Tony Smart (Neil Morrissey) who were politically incorrect and their lives centered around booze and birds. In the first season Harry Enfield as Dermot Povey played the flatmate of Martin Clunes but from season two, Neil Morrissey played the flatmate role.

The series ran for 6 seasons from 1992. The show "Men Behaving Badly" was remade in the USA in 1996 with American actors.
8. Martin Shaw and Lewis Collins

The British crime action series "The Professionals" starred Martin Shaw (Raymond Doyle) and Lewis Collins (William Bodie). Doyle was a former police detective constable and Bodie a former paratrooper and SAS soldier. Doyle and Bodie played the roles of criminal intelligence agents for the fictional "C15".

The head of "C15" was portrayed by Gordon Jackson as George Cowley, but nicknamed "Morris".
9. James Bolam and Rodney Bewes

"The Likely Lads" starred James Bolam as Terry Collier and Rodney Bewes as Bob Ferris. Terry and Bob were your average working class lads from the industrial North East and growing up in the sixties. They were only interested in beer, girls and football. The series ran from 1964-1966.
10. Reg Varney and Bob Grant

Answer: On the Buses

Stan Butler (Reg Varney) and his best friend and neighbour Jack Harper (Bob Grant) worked for the Luxton and District Bus Company. Stan is a driver and Jack does the ticketing. Both lads are always having problems with the inspector of the bus company, Inspector "Blakey" Blake played by Stephen Lewis.
