In the beginning of the show, Dan works for another Senator who Selina tries to manipulate into backing one of her programs. But later on, he is hired by the Vice President's office. He holds the title of Deputy Director of Communications. He is a hard worker who does not hide his ambition to rise to the top.

He and Amy are shown to have a competition for Selina's favor. He is very capable of talking his way to things and his good looks, helps his case too. Scott has some of the funniest scenes in this show and plays them to perfection. Scott has appeared in movies such as 'Losing Control' and 'I'll See You In My Dreams'.

Gary is Selina's personal aide. He is called her 'bag man' many times in the show. He is shown to be extremely loyal to Selina and most of the times knows exactly what she wants and gets it. When meeting new people, he stands beside her and whispers a little information in her ear about the person she is talking to. Selina is also very fond of him. Gary is portrayed in the show by actor Tony Hale.

He is one of the funniest parts of this show. He was recognized for his performance on this show with awards and nominations at the Emmys. Tony Hale has acted in TV shows such as 'Arrested Development'.

Potus abbreviates the President of the United States. Jonah Ryan works at the President's office and is the White House Liaison to the Vice President's office. He is a tall man who is always trying to slip in that he works for the President unlike the others.

Chung is played by Randall Park. He joins the presidential race against Selina and a few others. He portrays himself as a veteran, a man who served his country with pride and gets on the good side of people very often. West is an irritating reporter who is always annoying Mike. He makes it a point to get some or the other scoop and nags Mike when nothing happens. In one of the episodes, he comes to a yogurt store where Selina is supposed to come but is delayed due to a health problem. He feels let down that she doesn't show up on time! West is portrayed by Brain Huskey in this show.

Sue Wilson is another hilarious character. She is Selina's personal assistant and is in charge of arranging or cancelling her meetings and her schedule. She is a very commanding person and mouths anyone off when they irritate her. She and Kent Davidson (played by Gary Cole) have an especially weird relationship.

She is very dedicated to herself and to Selina and appears for her in court once. Sufe Bradshaw does amazing stuff with this character. Sufe has appeared in the 2009 film 'Star Trek' and in TV shows like 'Prison Break' and 'Southland'.
