Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What well-known TV dad played Beverly Ann's ex-husband, Frank Stickle?

Answer: Dick Van Patten

Dick Van Patten was patriarch Tom Bradford from "Eight is Enough". Interesting side note: Although Alan Thicke wasn't on "Facts" at any point, he and ex-wife Gloria Loring did write the theme song.
2. What now famous hottie was the girls' handyman/neighbor?

Answer: George Clooney

George was cute even back then. Before he became a hot commodity from "ER", he was the girls' neighbor and friend. Mr. Clooney also starred on a little known sitcom called "E/R"!
3. In the last two episodes, there were two child actors that have become pretty well-known movie actors. One of those actors played a student by the name of Adam. Who was he?

Answer: Seth Green

Seth was on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and also was in the "Austin Powers" movies and 2004's "Without A Paddle". Mackenzie Astin, younger brother of Sean Astin of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, was a regular on "Facts". He was Andy Moffatt, the kid who was eventually adopted by Beverly Ann.
4. A second child actor turned movie actress played Terry, a girl who wanted to leave Eastland Academy because her parents were divorcing. Who was she?

Answer: Juliette Lewis

Juliette has been in several movies. Two of them are "Natural Born Killers" with Woody Harrelson and "The Other Sister" with Giovanni Ribisi. Juliette was also in a little-known comedy before starting her movie career called "I Married Dora".
5. When Natalie moved to SoHo in the last season, she had some interesting roommates. One of them was a medical student she bonded with after he lost his first patient. What very funny actor played the medical student?

Answer: David Spade

David was part of a comedy duo with Chris Farley. They made several movies together including "Black Sheep". They were well on their way to being the modern-day Abbott and Costello, but unfortunately Chris passed away December 18, 1997 at the age of 33.
6. What 80s teen movie queen was on the show for the first year?

Answer: Molly Ringwald

Molly was a cute 12-year-old Eastland Student in 1979. She went on to star in "Sixteen Candles", "Pretty in Pink", "The Breakfast Club", and my personal favorite, "For Keeps".
7. Which great character actress, who has since passed away, once portrayed Tootie's boyfriend's grandmother?

Answer: Beah Richards

Ms. Richards passed away in 2003.
8. In a flashback episode, the girls were a 1960s musical group. Two well-known singers from that era guest-starred on that episode. One was Bobby Rydell, who was the other?

Answer: Fabian

The girls did a musical number in that episode called "Hot Rod Lover". It was hysterical!
9. "The Facts of Life" was a spin-off of another comedy series. The cast members from the parent show guest-starred on a few episodes in the first few years. What was the parent show?

Answer: Diff'rent Strokes

Each of these shows had spinoffs but "Facts" came from "Diff'rent Strokes". Kimberly Drummond was a student at Eastland Academy and Mrs. Garrett, who was the Drummonds' housekeeper, was asked to fill-in at the school as a temporary housemother in Kimberly's dorm. Mrs. G never left!
10. Very few people ever guest-starred as themselves on the show. One such person is best known as a frequent guest star on "The Love Boat". The episode she was in was the one where Natalie is in a truck stop and is writing a short story that is acted out through the episode. Who was the guest star? Think coochie-coochie!

Answer: Charo

Charo was in one episode of "The Facts of Life". But she was the most frequent guest star ever on "The Love Boat". And she was the same character! Guess she loved to cruise! I hope you enjoyed my quiz.
