This was the spell that Phoebe used in the first ever episode of "Charmed" to give the sisters their powers. All three sisters said it at the beginning of the second series to defeat the demon Abraxas.

They never understood what it meant until they found out they were witches. The spirit board led them to the attic where they found "The Book of Shadows".

Their grandmother taught this to them when they were children in the form of a story, when Phoebe caught Grams trying to vanquish it. This was the first spell that the sisters added to the "Book of Shadows".
