6. On what diet was Johnny placed in a desperate attempt to inhibit the growth of his cancer?

Answer: the Gerson diet

Developed by Dr. Max Gerson, this diet was vegetarian based - no animal proteins were included. It also required consumption of large quantities of organic juices and dietary supplements. The Gerson diet has never been subjected to standardized scientific quality control or testing, so it has not been approved and thus illegal to market it in the U.S.

In the movie, Johnny seemed to tolerate the bland food served to him. His parents tried to set an example by also eating the same meals, but John, Sr. had a difficult time with what he perceived as unappetizing sustenance.

9. What was the name of the boat Johnny sailed on?

Answer: Johnny did not sail on any boat in the movie
