Snake's brother Glen had come back home from med school to let Snake and his parents know that he was gay and planning to move into an apartment with his lover down town. Snake had a hard time accepting the news at first but eventually accepted it. His parents were not as accepting and told Glen he was no longer welcome in their home.

The friend told Clutch that Heather had been asking about him and Clutch asked Heather out, thinking that she liked him. Erica got really mad at Heather thinking Heather was intentionally trying to steal Clutch from her.

Heather came up with the idea that Erica could pretend to be her and go on the date with Clutch. It was hard, and pretty much pointless, since Clutch only asked Heather out to get closer to Lucy. Poor Erica!

While Melanie was at Kathleen's house preparing their project for the science fair she discovered Kathleen's diary and read it. The diary only confirmed her earlier suspicions that Kathleen hadn't been eating. After Kathleen fainted in school, Melanie felt like she had no choice but to tell Ms. Avery about Kathleen's lack of eating. Kathleen felt betrayed by Melanie, and boy was she mad!

When Melanie got her braces removed she decided to celebrate by buying pizza and sodas for all her friends. It cost her $20. Later, Snake asked her if she wanted to go to the Gourmet Scum concert but because of her wild spending the day before she was completely broke. Not knowing where to get the money from and desperately wanting to go she stole $20 from her mother's purse.

At the Gourmet Scum concert Luke had some acid that he offered to share with Shane. Tim, warned Shane about the affects that acid could have but Shane didn't take heed to Tim's warning and decided to take it anyway. After the concert Shane somehow ended up jumping off a bridge because he was high. He got seriously hurt and ended up in a hospital with brain damage.

Melanie and Snake had a crush on each other for over a year. Snake had asked Melanie out a few times but something always seemed to go wrong. It was almost like they were cursed!

Michelle's parents didn't like BLT because he was black. Her mother thought that being in an interracial relationship would bring a lot of negativity to Michelle. Michelle's father was racist and couldn't stomach the thought of Michelle being with someone outside of her own race.

Joey bought a fake ID for $5 and told Heather and Erica that he was going to use it to purchase beer for Lucy's party. He didn't look old enough to pass for 21, so he tried to have Snake use the ID but it didn't work. They later seen Clutch pulling up at the liquor store and asked him to purchase the beers, which he did, but not without helping himself to 6 beers. Joey, Snake and Wheels stopped on the side of the road to have some of the beers and got caught by the police. BUSTED!

There had been problems with the boiler ever since the Christmas holidays. They thought the problem had been fixed but boy were they wrong when a fire broke out in the boiler room.

During the dance Tessa and Scooter had been playing a game of tag. After knocking over drinks on a few of they older kids they took their game of tag out of the gymnasium and into the basement. Once they got to the basement they noticed smoke and flames emerging from the boiler room. They then alerted Mr. Raditch and other members of the faculty who cleared the school with no fatalities.
